Happy New Year

Happy New Year, everyone.

My new year's resolution is to make more time to see (or at least interact with) friends and family. If you'd like to see more of me in 2005, let me know.

I'd love to see you, 3c66b, but in the meantime have a peaceful & successful 2005. (I don't put my real e-mail online, but I can be reached at the_espresso_addict at fireflyuk.net)

Do let us know if you're coming through Ohio at any point. We sometimes manage to catch academic friends as they go to conferences and whatever.

Good resolution. I should try that too. It'd make me happier, I think. My better memories of 2004 involve that sort of thing.

Excellent. Do you have anything as conventional as an e-mail address these days?

Indeed. Clive at the National Society for the Inversion of Cuddly Tigers dot org still works.

Gosh, that must be one of the longest-lived vanity domains ever (-:

Actually, it reminds me of someone else I must try to contact...

Mr Roddis, perchance? (-8

As for nsict.org:
whois -h whois.gandi.net nsict.org

So yeah, it's older than altavista.com, bbc.co.uk, w3.org, ebay.com, amazon.com and all those other no-name small fry newcomers.

Given the aggro I suffered telling people a new e-mail address when I graduated, I'm very glad I've never since had to do so again. The domain has a RIPE-assigned IP address range, is full of hosts, runs its own services, etc., so I'm not sure it's really a vanity domain in the strictest sense, though…

Now that I've reminded you of my e-mail address, could you drop me a line with yours, please?

If nothing else, you're a radio astronomer, aren't you? I'd like to quietly pick your brains about something…
